With the nights now officially fair drawing in, October’s theme of Finding Comfort was perfectly timed. I visited Old Town institution Mums Great Comfort Food (formerly Monster Mash Cafe) who obviously specialise in this, providing good old fashioned nostalgia on a plate – think sausage and mash, pies, stews, mac and cheese, burgers and puddings. They promised ‘yummy delicious top nosh’ and we found wholesome uncomplicated comfort food – read all about it at Edinburgh Eats.
