A quick alert for all you food geeks out there: Harvey Nichols has opened a pop up foodmarket on Multrees Walk.
Launched a few weeks ago, it is a wonderland; a bizarre and absorbing mixture of exotic perishables and quirky, temporary design. I don’t want to give too much detail so that you can go and enjoy this small and splendid spot for yourselves, but here are a few of their glittering offerings…
Persian fairy floss in chocolate, pistachio, vanilla and rose flavours (£9.95 for 200g)
Ess Lack gold food spray (£24.95)
1 gallon Tabasco sauce (£70.00)
Lime and coconut curd (£3.50 per jar)
As you can see, it’s not one for the economical chef, but as a way of passing an indulgent few minutes (and perhaps getting yourself a little out-of-the-ordinary treat) it is a great stop along your Christmas shopping route.

Sneaky tip: You can follow Edinburgh’s Harvey Nichols on @HN_Edinburgh
