Geeking out over… Great British Bake Off Series Three Applications & Edinburgh

Posted at November 7, 2011 by 0 Comment

Sometimes it feels like Edinburgh has baking talent running through it’s very soul; incredible cafés on every corner, independent bakers filling shops and market stalls, and events such as the Edinburgh Cake Ladies and Sofi’s Bake Night regularly bursting at the seams. Baking is more than just a hobby for Edinburgh, it’s an addiction.

And this is why I want to urge Edinburgh home bakers to apply for the Great British Bake Off third series. The first series featured Edinburgh’s own Lea Harris (aka @BakersBunny) but the second series (although brilliant) had a distinct lack of Scottish competitors.

Enter the application form and send it to the lovely people at

Easy as… pie.

Follow them on Twitter, pledge eternal love on Facebook or check out the website for more scrummy goodness!

Thanks to Jemma Eat World for alerting us to the applications being open and Love Productions for creating such a marvellous show.
