Eating Standing Up: Filming at the Edinburgh German Christmas Market with Cook That!

Last night was an evening of firsts: the first Edinburgh December snow, the first time Georgia tried bratkartoffeln and the first time Total Food Geeks went filming with Cook That!

At 5 o’clock on Sunday evening we braced the winter chill and ventured out in search of warmth, food and good chat at the German Christmas Market on Edinburgh’s Princes Street. This fairy-lit adventure was all in aid of the Cook That! Christmas Special episode; we sought out unsuspecting passers by and got them to voice their recommendations for the top restaurants, producers and Christmas spots in Edinburgh.

And what a group of food-loving, festive folks we found!

BIG THANKS to those of you who succumbed to our pleas and answered our questions, we learnt a whole lot about Edinburgh, met some wonderful people and tried some rather delightful mulled cherry beer – which is well worth a try along with the other tasty delights on offer if you head down.
