Since I missed out on the foodie blogging last month, I want to do two this month to show you that I still care. Actually, I am going to go a bit further than that and even give you a heads up for a competition that I think blends with my usual ‘anti-theme’ take on these monthly internet soirées.
My idea if the Great British Summer is going away to somewhere the sun shines and the waters are warm. I prefer somewhere Mediterranean and so I wanted to pass this wee competition on to you so that you can be in with a chance to win a trip to Italy this summer.
I know that any chance to get a trip to Italy is worth jumping on, and since y’all all love food and cooking so much, entering this competition should be a breeze.
Enjoy.

Ready! Steady! Blog! Win a week in a Tuscany Villa for your Recipes
Tuscany Villas specialist, To-Tuscany, has launched a competition for July whereby cooking connoisseurs with their own blog can win a week in a Tuscan villa, plus £200 towards flights.
To enter the Foodie Blogger Competition (Twitter: #TTFBC), bloggers have to prepare a Tuscan-inspired dish, which includes three key ingredients: olive oil, tomatoes and parmesan cheese, and create a blog post about it.
The competition is open to anyone with a blog, there are no country restrictions, and closes at midnight on July 21, 2012.
Entries will be posted on the To-Tuscany competition page and the public will then vote for their favourite entries.
The three entries with the most votes on July 21 will go through to the final round which will be judged by Nico Atrigna, the chef of Siena’s finest restaurant, Osteria Le Logge.
The final entrants will be marked on 4 categories: presentation, Tuscan authenticity, creativity and innovation, and cooking expertise.
Each entrant will also be entered in a random prize draw with the chance to win a bottle of Tuscan olive oil and a Tuscan cookery book. There will be 10 prizes up for grabs.
Winners of the competition and the prize draws will be notified by July 27, 2012. Late, incomplete or non-linking entries will not be accepted.
Each entry must start with the opening line: “I want to win a week in one of your Tuscany villas!” (You’ll need to include this link http://www.to-tuscany.com as a hyper-link within the words ‘Tuscany villas’ as we have done above. We’ll be using this link to track entries.)
To view the terms and conditions, or to find out more about this competition, visit http://www.to-tuscany.com/to-tuscany-extras/foodie-blogger-competition-2012/, or, alternatively, email competition@to-tuscany.com.
